OTHER FOLK

Robert's third
solo album is essentially an album of covers plus three original songs.
It was recorded
totally live in an energetic and inspired four day session at The
Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire.
Featuring
songs written by such luminaries as Fred Neil, Tim Hardin, Bob Dylan
and Marc Solon it was Robert's homage to the songs and writers which
had inspired him.
Players included
long time associate Brian Bethell, drummer extraordinaire Tansay Omar
and, for the first time since the split, ex Blow Monkeys bassist Mick
Anker (he of the sideburns and bowler hat).
Pre-empting
the current wave of interest in such writers as Neil, Hardin and Nick
Drake, Robert created an organic mixture - the high of which was the
spontaneous song The Fen Tiger. which was to give clues to his next
move - the home spun and mysterious Flatlands.
