First conceived as a set of demos for a follow-up to
"Realms of Gold" - Bethesda was given a Japan only release in 1995.
Since then it has become a much sought after rarity swapping hands
for anything up to £45.
The album takes its name from the small village in North
Wales where it was recorded in the shadow of Mount Snowdon. For many
of Robert's hardcore fans it remains the favourite.
Featuring the lilting Halfway To Heaven, it picks up
where "Realms" left off with added funk provided by soon to be Oasis
drummer Alan White (he joined two weeks later) and embellished by
Hammond king Glen Scott (now enjoying a successful career in R&B stateside).
Featuring 10 new original songs, plus a cover of "Green
Rocky Road", featuring Mick Tolbot on piano, Bethesda at long last
gets its long overdue UK release.
